Meet Jake

From humble origins — born in an apartment in Medford, Oregon — to bootstrapping a dynamic portfolio of companies serving thousands across the U.S., Jake has dedicated his life to solving big problems. His businesses support people impacted by disaster, taking the burden of insurance claims, FEMA processes, restoration, and reconstruction off the homeowner’s plate. His mission: to ensure fair payouts and full recovery — all at no cost to those he serves.

“I’m a builder — of businesses, teams, and solutions. I’ve spent years in the real world, fixing broken systems that leave people behind. From insurance claims to disaster recovery, I’ve led companies that cut through red tape, speed up results, and actually get things done.
Now, I’m taking that same no-nonsense mindset to politics.
I know how to create systems that work — because I’ve built them. I know how to lead teams — because I’ve led them. And I know how to deal with bloated, inefficient processes — because I’ve spent my career replacing them with smarter, faster, and more accountable ones.

Whether it’s fixing education, managing our infrastructure, or making government work for the people again, I bring a clear plan, a steady hand, and a proven track record of turning complexity into action.

I’m not here to talk about change. I’m here to build it.”

Education:

  • Currently pursuing Juris Doctor and PhD in Public Admin
  • Licensed Bonded and Insured Federal, Commercial, and Residential General Contractor in OR, WA, & CA with an IICRC Certified Firm.
  • MBA from University of the West of England, Bristol — Team Captain & MVP of a Championship Team.
  • Undergrad from Lawrence University
  • University of Oregon — D1 Football Career

My education didn’t stop or start with degrees — it began with a mindset.

Yes, I’m a digital native, but what truly sets me apart is how I learn. I’ve taught myself to collapse time by asking better questions — not just “how do I do this right?” but “what is the best way to do this, period?” I don’t just follow templates or traditions. I break things down, question assumptions, dive into the deep end, and if I realize I’ve taken the wrong approach — I reset. I start from scratch. I admit sunk costs. I begin again, clearer and stronger.

That mindset has shaped everything I’ve built — from systems to companies to beliefs. It’s also how I approach politics. I’ve spent intentional hours over years asking myself not just what I believe, but why. I’ve read, written, debated, and redrafted my thinking since high school — not out of ambition, but because I believe it’s a civic duty to be engaged.

We’re in this mess for a lot of reasons, but one of the worst is this idea that trying isn’t cool — that caring too much is lame. I think the opposite. I think trying — really trying — is the coolest thing a person can do in this crab trap of a world. Trying means you haven’t given up. It means you still believe in your ability to make a dent. It means you’re alive.

That’s how I’ve approached my education — and how I’ll serve as a Senator.
